Very confortable room, good premises and delicious food at the restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast and everything was perfect. It was my partner birthday and I asked them to leave some treat in the room, which they did with a lovely "happy birthday" brownie plate. Definetely staying again when going to Kilkenny.

Absolutely brilliant stay. We popped back home to visit our family and staying at The Avalon topped our stay could not have asked for better. Staff are fantastic every single one of them. Our room was brilliant and above expectations and the food was superb. We will be back and would recommend a stay here.

Absolutely excellent. Emily did all she could to accommodate our wishes. The room was extremely comfortable and furnished to a top-notch standard. Even the 'little things' were top quality. The staff were warm, welcoming, professional and always stopped to answer a question despite being very busy. Nothing was overlooked - it's a real gem of a find.

We first stayed in the Avalon House Hotel pre-Covid and had planned to return at some stage. It is always a concern whether a hotel would meet the standards of our initial stay. We can say, without any hesitation that it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived we were met by the most wonderfully gracious and helpful staff. Nothing was too much. We found all the staff just wonderful and we are already hoping to plan another visit in the near future. Food was delicious, the room we got was gorgeous and had that unique homely quality that is so hard to find.

Avalon House Hotel is one of our favourite ‘get away from it all’ destinations. Beautifully appointed interiors, excellent food, exceptional staff and great location. We’re already planning to return for a winter break.

We were a group of 6 & had a really great overnight stay, a wonderful hotel full of charm & character & nice staff. Having arrived early we enjoyed tea & scones before heading to the discovery park for some adrenaline activities & returned to enjoy lunch in the courtyard restaurant & dinner / drinks in the evening, all of which were excellent. A good nights sleep was had in the nicely air conditioned bedrooms & after a lovely breakfast we left & look forward to returning again.
