The room was great and we enjoyed air conditioning as we prefer cool sleeping. Breakfast was very tasty and dinners at bar restaurant were good. We loved the nightly specials. Staff were helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Very confortable room, good premises and delicious food at the restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast and everything was perfect. It was my partner birthday and I asked them to leave some treat in the room, which they did with a lovely "happy birthday" brownie plate. Definetely staying again when going to Kilkenny.

Absolutely brilliant stay. We popped back home to visit our family and staying at The Avalon topped our stay could not have asked for better. Staff are fantastic every single one of them. Our room was brilliant and above expectations and the food was superb. We will be back and would recommend a stay here.

We had a lovely stay in Avalon house hotel. The family room was really perfect for us. We loved the decor of the hotel and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Thank you for a lovely night away- my family had a great time

Absolutely excellent. Emily did all she could to accommodate our wishes. The room was extremely comfortable and furnished to a top-notch standard. Even the 'little things' were top quality. The staff were warm, welcoming, professional and always stopped to answer a question despite being very busy. Nothing was overlooked - it's a real gem of a find.

Fabulous hotel, small and homely. Stayed in family room and kids loved it. Food was gorgeous and brekkie was delicious.

We first stayed in the Avalon House Hotel pre-Covid and had planned to return at some stage. It is always a concern whether a hotel would meet the standards of our initial stay. We can say, without any hesitation that it exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived we were met by the most wonderfully gracious and helpful staff. Nothing was too much. We found all the staff just wonderful and we are already hoping to plan another visit in the near future. Food was delicious, the room we got was gorgeous and had that unique homely quality that is so hard to find.

Avalon House Hotel is one of our favourite ‘get away from it all’ destinations. Beautifully appointed interiors, excellent food, exceptional staff and great location. We’re already planning to return for a winter break.
