Castlecomer Golf Club is situated just 15 minutes from Kilkenny City. The course, set in a 200-year-old forest of elevated beauty with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, framed by a canopy of woodland.

Castlecomer’s course provides a great test of golf, combined with breathtaking views of the surrounding terrain. The course was designed in 2003 by Pat Ruddy, who went to great lengths to make a great golf course that retained the beauty and the features of the existing landscape. The new course layout involves no return to the higher ground when the first nine holes are completed. This has been achieved without altering the integrity of the course, each hole retaining the character and makeup.The feedback from visitors from all over the world is a testament to his magnificent achievement.
