We stayed in Avalon house hotel for a couple of days early December and what an unexpected gem in Castlecomer. Warmly greeted by Tracey at reception with her smile and friendly personality that set the tone for our stay perfectly. Her local knowledge and helpful suggestions of places to visit ,ensure a thoroughly enjoyable break away for us . While we were highly impressed with this wonderful boutique hotel , it's delightful yet elegant decor, it's many highlights, the high comfort standards, beautiful food etc we feel must highlight the fantastic staff ,everyone friendly and helpful, the lovely Tracey was quite exceptional,.We will most definitely return. I had the most wonderful stay at Avalon house! Reception was very warm and welcoming upon my arrival and departure. The room was very comfortable, warm and cozy. The breakfast was lovely and when I was in need of something specific meal wise they were able to provide a solution. Wi would highly recommend staying or keeping it on the radar. I look forward to my next stay in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at Avalon House Hotel. The rooms were immaculate and the food delicious. All staff on site were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely come visit again!

The Avalon was by far my favorite place on this trip to stay. The room was clean. The restaurant was fabulous. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. I would go back to Castlecomer to stay at the Avalon.

Absolute wonderful stay in charming Avalon House hotel, staff, rooms and restaurant were delightful.

We stayed for 1 night to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The hotel was lovely and even went to the trouble of putting a cake and birthday greeting in the room wishing my wife happy birthday! The only minor complaint I have is that when I booked the one night dinner & B&B stay it was advertised as dinner in the restaurant. However dinner was served in the bar. Food overall was good.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Its old world ambience and style is unique and very special. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff are very warm, friendly, professional and helpful. I’ll be back. The breakfast was also lovely and substantial.

I had a wonderful stay at Avalon. Comfortable bed, wonderful shower, even a nespresso machine. But most of all, the staff are so kind, welcoming and professional. Thanks all.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and very clean. I had a tasty dinner and breakfast, and the staff were very attentive and courteous. I was very impressed.

This was the most charming place we stayed during our trip to Ireland. It was a beautiful location, the food was great, and our room was very comfortable even with four of us!

We had a lovely one night stay in a classic double room. Food was amazing, dinner and breakfast, the best we have had in a while. The staff are a credit to this house hotel, lovely, friendly and helpful. Spotless room, and hotel throughout plus comfortable bed. Only thing I could fault is the TV, they need to be upgraded to smart TVs, but there was a range of channels.

We sadly only had one night here as it is such a lovely spot. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and the dinner and breakfast were wonderful

The Avalon is a building I've driven by since I was a child most of the time it was uninhabited. You've done an amazing job on your renovation and created a little gem. Really enjoyed our stay and we'll be back.

Our stay at the Avalon House Hotel was the best of all of our 2 weeks of touring Ireland. The hotel is elegant yet has such a charming and relaxing Irish countryside country vibe. Our room was large and well appointed with lovely linens and modern bathroom. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and very generous. We loved the location in Castlecomer- very near all sights but quiet and easy for parking our car. We shall return!
